George Jones are pleased to announce that we have been successful with our bid to become members of the ne procurement framework supplying painting decorating and pre-paint repairs.
Becoming members of this framework is a demonstration of our ability to supply our services to many parts of the country in a consistent and professional manner.
We look forward to working with Responsible Social Landlords in the North East Area in the coming Months and Years and will bring not only a wealth of experience but sustainability with local employment, through our already employed local labour force.
We are dedicated to the sustainability of local employment and throughout the contract make a commitment to employ and train apprentices/modern trainees throughout the duration of the framework agreement

George Jones have been chosen by Barrow Borough Council to carry out their 2009 Cyclical painting and Repairs Programme, using the GM Procure & Value Works model and contract members.
We are very proud to announce that we have opened a new office in Barrow (see our contact page for details), which will be used to service the contract and the residents of Barrow Borough for general enquiries or any information they need in regards to works being or to be carried out on their properties.
The works are of a value of aproximately 150k and being carried out to 200-300 occupied properties and we will continue to post information in regards to contract results with Customer Satisfaction and contract KPIs

Through our ever increasing commitment to our employees and health/safety & environmental relations, we are proud to announce the appointment of Yvonne Goulding as employee relations administrator, “Karolina Hermanowicz” health & safety administration assistant, Denise Meakin as office manager and Lisa Moffatt as head finance control.
Lisa has just celebrated her 25th year with the company and following a re-organisation of the administration team, Lisa has been appointed with the very important role of head of finance. Lisa will be working with our financial director, operations team, customers, suppliers and sub-contractors on all financial matters.
Yvonne has worked with the business for seventeen years working in many various roles, but has now found her skills are best laid with employee relations. Yvonne is responsible for the maintaining of Investors in people, employees development programmes, recruitment, apprentice developments, employee appraisals and all other aspects of employee relations within the business.
Karolina has joined the business in September and brings with her NEBOSH accreditation & experience within Health & Safety Administration. Karolina will be working with our health & safety manager to ensure we continue to lower our environmental impact and that we continue look after the welfare of our employees and Customers.
Denise has also joined the business in September and has a vast experience with line management, finance and purchasing. Denise is responsible for ensuring the customers receive a seamless service with all administration matters and will be responsible for producing our monthly KPI reports for customers and employees.
